Most people who come to us ask the same question. How much does it cost? The problem is that because self-publishing is such a new field, it’s hard to guess if you don’t know. One customer said to me, “I don’t know whether to expect thousands or hundreds!”. I like to think that here at Honeybee Books we have one of the fairest pricing structures around, so this weeks blog will help give you an idea of what to expect.

Book price is based on a few key factors; Hardback or paperback, the size of the book, and the number of pages. There are other things to consider, such as colour pictures on the inside (a colour cover comes as standard), which may add a little more to the cost. In addition, as with most things, fewer books end up a little more expensive per book, but nothing that will break the bank!

Here is an example of price breakdown for a fairly standard book. The prices given include a proof copy for you to check before the final print, and all delivery charges. There are no hidden extras!
